How to Use

Fetch by URL:

Enter the URL of a sitemap.xml file (e.g., https://example.com/sitemap.xml) and click "Fetch" to automatically download and parse it.

Paste XML:

If you have the XML content, paste it directly into the text area and click "Parse XML".

Export Options:

Once URLs are extracted, you can copy them to clipboard, download as TXT (plain URL list), or download as CSV (with metadata like last modified date, change frequency, and priority).

Extract all URLs from any XML sitemap

Paste any XML sitemap URL and instantly get a clean, deduplicated list of every page indexed inside — including nested sitemap indexes, image sitemaps and video sitemaps. Export the URL list as plain text or CSV for use in audits, migrations, monitoring or competitor analysis.

XML sitemaps are the source of truth for what a site officially wants search engines to crawl. Pulling that list manually from large sitemap indexes (which can contain hundreds of nested files) is tedious and error‑prone. The Sitemap Extractor handles all of it automatically.

Use the extracted URLs as input for crawling, status checking, broken‑link auditing, redirect mapping or content gap analysis. It pairs perfectly with our Site Crawler and URL Status Checker.

How do I extract URLs from a sitemap.xml file?

Enter your sitemap URL (e.g. https://example.com/sitemap.xml) into our Sitemap Extractor. All URLs are fetched, listed, and made available to copy or export.

Can I extract URLs from sitemap index files?

Yes. If your sitemap.xml is a sitemap index pointing to multiple child sitemaps, our tool recursively fetches all child sitemaps and lists every URL.

What information is shown for each sitemap URL?

For each URL we show the location, last modified date, change frequency, and priority value if they are defined in the sitemap.

Can I export the extracted URLs as a CSV or text file?

Yes. After extracting, you can copy all URLs to the clipboard or export them as a plain text or CSV file for further analysis.
