About our office tools

Office work is full of small tasks that don't deserve a dedicated app: generating a QR code for a poster, creating a strong password for a new account, working out what 3 PM in London means for a team in Tokyo, or timing a focused work session. ToolsGuru's office tools handle these everyday jobs instantly, with no installs and no sign-ups.

The collection includes a QR code generator with WiFi and contact-card support, a cryptographically secure password generator, a DST-aware timezone converter for scheduling across cities, stopwatch and countdown timers, a Pomodoro timer for focused work, an autosaving online notepad, an email address extractor for cleaning up lists, a random picker for draws and decisions, plus the unit converter and text case converter.

Everything runs locally in your browser. Passwords are generated on your device using the browser's cryptographic random number generator and are never transmitted; notes are stored only in your own browser's local storage. These tools are safe to use on any machine, including corporate laptops where installing software isn't an option.

Frequently asked questions

Are generated passwords sent anywhere?

No. Passwords are generated locally using your browser's crypto.getRandomValues — a cryptographically secure random source — and never leave your device. We recommend pairing the generator with a password manager.

Do QR codes expire?

No. QR codes generated here are static — the data (URL, text, WiFi credentials) is encoded directly into the image, so the code works forever and doesn't depend on our site staying online.

Where are my notepad notes stored?

In your own browser's local storage on your device. They persist between visits on the same browser but are never uploaded. Clearing your browser data will delete them, so download important notes as text files.

Does the timezone converter handle daylight saving time?

Yes. It uses your browser's IANA timezone database via the Intl API, which applies the correct DST rules for each city on the specific date you choose — important for scheduling meetings weeks in advance.
